Partner Focus: Green Skills Partnership

Working together towards a greener future.

We are pleased to announce that, through our founding company Milestone Group, the Passion Project has secured a co-operation agreement with Green Skills Partnership.

The Green Skills Partnership brings together a range of parties, including unions, local councils, education providers and state agencies, to deliver green skills training within the construction, retrofit, horticultural and waste management industries and are also looking to expand into other sectors.

Over the last 12 months, the Green Skills Partnership has successfully delivered on a joint initiative with the Construction Industry Training Board and Greater London Authority, to place 300 unemployed construction workers into work placements. 150 of these progressed into jobs, with a further 100 continuing in sustained employment.

With over 44 members, we believe the Green Skills Partnership is ideally placed to support the Passion Project in its operation, as well as developing its offering beyond the London Metropolitan area.

Stuart Barber, Director of Green Skills Partnership, commented: “This is an exciting time for the GSP and its members, which has been growing and evolving over the last five years. The signing of this agreement with the Milestone Group allows for both parties to come together to use its combined resources to focus on achieving the same social value, through a variety of initiatives.”
